Industrial equipment and the Internet.

When I was in the auto industry, we used a lot of heavy equipment to bend, machine, and join metals. To keep up with world markets and increase efficiency, we had a capita] program to upgrade machinery and tooling. The equipment that was replaced generally had lots of life left in it, but we typically ended up scrapping good equipment for a lack of a better alternative. If we did sell it, we were lucky to get 20 or 30 cents on the dollar.
